Onboarding: Employment Eligibility
In the Onboarding Gateway, before submitting a new hire to UKG Pro managers must first verify employment eligibility for the new hire by completing Section 2 of the I-9 and submitting an E-Verify case. Both of these parts of the onboarding process need to be completed prior to submitting the new hire's record to UKG Pro, the system will not allow manager's to submit the new hire's information until these are completed.
Once the new hire has completed their paperwork, including Section 1 of the I-9, managers will need to follow these steps:

Once the new hire has completed their paperwork, including Section 1 of the I-9, managers will need to follow these steps:
- Complete Section 2 of the I-9 with the documentation that the new hire provides. New hires can NOT be submitted to UKG Pro or have their E-Verify submitted until this step is complete
- Submit the E-Verify case within Onboarding.
- Submit the new hire to UKG Pro for payroll to process
